Meet Jacqueline D’Aries, OTR/L, CBIS

Hello! I’m an Occupational Therapist (OT) living in the Bay Area, California. I have been practicing for over 7 years in physical rehabilitation centers helping people recover from the toughest moments of their life.

I moved from the east coast to work at Encompass Health of Murrieta where I learned how to treat people who are recovering from a brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, multiple trauma, and orthopedic surgeries. I grew a passion for helping people recover from neurological injuries and became a Senior OT at the Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo, CA where I specialized in brain and stroke rehab. I expanded my knowledge with the brain injury specialist certification to provide a more holistic approach to treatment.

Throughout the course of my professional life I have built very special relationships with my clients and their families, and would often support them as they transitioned back home. I grew disheartened to hear that home therapy was not meeting their expectations, that their healing process was being slowed down, and how much they were struggling to integrate back to into their lives or navigate a new normal. This is why I decided to branch out on my own and start my community OT practice.

Not only do I value OT for the support and care it brings to others in my professional life, but these skills have helped me explore my own core values so that I can align my actions and fill my time with meaningful activities. I have found a love for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, began taking French classes, and teaching myself how to play the Ukulele! More importantly, it has taught me how to be mindful, intuitive and connected to my emotions to make decisions that foster pleasure and enhance my own life.
